Drawing & Colour (All Levels)

You will be taught the basic skills of drawing including line, space, tone, composition and how to assess proportion and perspective with plenty of demos and handouts.

What The Course is About:

You will be taught the basic skills of drawing including line, space, tone, composition and how to assess proportion and perspective with plenty of demos and handouts. Half the course will be drawing and the second half will focus on painting, starting with colour mixing. For each new project, you’ll have demos, handouts or see examples of artist’s work to inspire you. The course is designed to be taken a term at a time, or complete all 3 terms to gain confidence and a good understanding of drawing and using colour. 

Materials Required:

What to bring to the first session: Bring some sketching pencils such as 2B, 4B and 6B, an eraser, sharpener, some loose sheets of cartridge paper and a few sheets of scrap paper such as A4 photocopy paper. Most of your materials can be bought in the school shop but you will be given a list of materials needed when you join the course.

Previous Experience:

This course is ideal for either beginners, or for those with some experience, who’d like to brush up their skills and gain confidence in their drawing and colour work.
