This course is for students with little or no drawing experience and would like to learn to draw from observation.

This is the ideal course for students new to oil painting or with a little experience. Some background knowledge of drawing and painting fundamentals will be useful.
Introduction to Watercolour and Experimental Techniques
This course is designed for beginners with little or no experience with the delicate medium of watercolour. We will work and develop your skills and a focus on understanding of the experimental medium of watercolour. We will explore traditional methods of mixing colour and students will also be encouraged to play and develop their own take on the age-old method.

Oct Half Term – Good Artists Copy and Great Artists Steal
‘Take What You Need’ from exploring the works of Samuel Palmer’s Shoreham period (1826–32) and the visionary landscapes he created in and around the village of Shoreham in Kent. Influenced by William Blake, Palmer transformed the landscape into an imaginative, emotional and almost spiritual experience.
