Life Drawing (Beginners)
This is a structured course suitable for those new to figure drawing or who would like a "refresher" course, those who have done A level art at school or have art school education to foundation or BA level, but with little previous experience of life drawing.
Life Drawing & Painting (All Levels)
The emphasis will be on observation, building upon basic principles of drawing and moving towards personal expression through experimentation with various media and techniques.

NEW Good Artists: Portraiture (All Levels)
Portrait Painting and Drawing For all the classes, a model is provided, sometimes for just one or two sessions and three sessions when painting. For beginners and students with limited experience, the course is structured starting with how to construct a sense of the three-dimensional using black and white drawing first before attempting colour using chalk pastel. Finally you will be encouraged to try painting. This can be either oil, acrylic or watercolour painting. Drawing can be the main focus, if you prefer Experienced students are encouraged to structure their own learning.
Portrait Drawing (All levels)
This drawing course is ideal for those with some drawing experience who want to concentrate on portraiture, or who are already doing portraiture.
Portrait Drawing & Painting (All levels)
Portraiture is an art form involving observational, interpretive and expressive skills while trying to capture the ‘essence’ of another human being. Students will be taught how to learn and master these skills while drawing and painting from the model.
Portrait Painting (All levels)
The aim of the course is for students to be able to achieve an acceptable ‘likeness’ through the practice of constant observation and visual enquiry.
Portrait: Drawing the Head (Intermediate)
A drawing course ideal for those with some drawing, preferably life drawing, experience, who want to concentrate on portraiture.
