February Half Term – Art & Design for Young People 13-17 Years
An enjoyable and challenging course designed to build on existing skills to create a varied body of work useful for GCSE and A level course work or for a dynamic foundation portfolio.
February Half Term – B&W Darkroom Photography
This course is ideal for beginners who have never experienced creating images in a traditional black and white darkroom before. Students will be introduced to printing photographs and contact sheets from negatives, experimenting with light to create photograms, how to print drawings and sketches, and an introduction to digital negatives.
February Half Term – Drawing & Pastels
A one-day workshop exploring chalk pastels. Known for its vibrant effects, chalk pastel is a great medium, combining colour and drawing with an expressive immediacy.
February Half Term – Family Learning Drawing & Painting
With an emphasis on fun, this is an opportunity to work with your child on some great creative projects.
February Half Term – Family Learning Pottery 3D Campus
With an emphasis on fun, this is an opportunity to work with your child on some great creative projects with clay.
February Half Term – Introduction to Drawing & Colour 3D Campus
On this two-day ‘taster’ course you will be introduced to some of the basic skills of observational drawing and colour.
February Half Term – Introduction to Watercolour Painting
This course is aimed at complete beginners who want to learn the basics of watercolour or students with some knowledge wanting to improve their watercolour skills.
February Half Term – Kids Art Club 8-12 Years
The course is an enjoyable and creative art club for children.
February Half Term – Kids Pottery Club 8-12 years 3D Campus
Have fun making and decorating clay pots and figures.
February Half Term – Learn To Draw 3D Campus
On this one day ‘taster’ course, you’ll be introduced to some of the basic skills of observational drawing, including line, space, tone and proportion.
February Half Term – Life Drawing (All Levels)
The aim of the course is to encourage students to develop their drawing skills via access to what some consider the most compelling form, the human body.
February Half Term – Open Studio Painting
Painting Open Studio is for experienced students or advanced painting skills so that they can work independently.
February Half Term – Open Studio Pottery
This course is aimed at students with some experience who need additional time within the pottery studio. You will be able to work on your own projects under the guidance of a ceramic tutor.
February Half Term – Portrait Drawing
An intensive one-day course working with varied approaches to portrait drawing.
February Half Term – Pottery: Glazing Workshop
This course is aimed at students that want to improve their glazing techniques. Some experience with pottery is expected but not required.
Foundation Diploma in Art and Design/Portfolio Prep
Interviews have started...This course is offered part-time 9 hours a week, with a requirement to attend two core courses plus a third option each term over two years. Enrol on the NEW Portfolio Preparation 3D Campus - Putney School of Art and Design (psad.org.uk) to prepare for the Diploma course. Garden Design – Design Your Own Garden 3D Campus
This is an intensive 6 -week course aimed at people who are interested in garden design but have varied to no experience of gardening or design.
Illustration (All Levels)
Over this 10-week course, published author/illustrator Sophie Ambrose will take you through all the steps from developing your initial idea to putting together a dummy picture book with a sample of artwork
NEW Fine Art Textiles
In the last decade the expressive skills of crafts and making have become valued as fine art practice. This course will allow students to work creatively with a broad range of materials and processes usually associated with textiles. It will provide an opportunity to explore and combine a variety of accessible techniques.
NEW Portfolio Preparation 3D Campus
If you wish to develop a good grounding in a variety aspects of painting, drawing and mixed media together with an awareness of contemporary and historical art . In particular those who may wish to put together a portfolio for application to a higher level* course or employment in a related field.
