NEW Fine Art Textiles
In the last decade the expressive skills of crafts and making have become valued as fine art practice. This course will allow students to work creatively with a broad range of materials and processes usually associated with textiles. It will provide an opportunity to explore and combine a variety of accessible techniques.
NEW Portfolio Preparation 3D Campus
If you wish to develop a good grounding in a variety aspects of painting, drawing and mixed media together with an awareness of contemporary and historical art . In particular those who may wish to put together a portfolio for application to a higher level* course or employment in a related field.
Summer School – Good Artists Copy Great Artists Steal: Degas and Late Twentieth-Century British Paintings
‘Take What You Need’ from exploring the works of Degas and Late Twentieth-Century British Paintings. This painting course examines how the work of Edgar Degas influenced late 20th-century British art, from the abstract paintings of Howard Hodgkin to the vivid, human-animal compositions of Francis Bacon.

A two-day course where you will create collagraph plates using simple found materials, textured papers, glue, resins and more.

Summer School – 2 Days: Creative Sketchbooks
Exploring different materials and approaches to creating a lively and an exciting artist's sketchbook that will support in developing and transforming your creative ideas.
Summer School – 2 Days: Drypoint and Chine Colle
Suitable for complete beginners or those with some experience. We'll explore the wide range of mark-making that can be achieved in a drypoint print. Then using a technique called Chine Collé to experiment with adding colour and texture to your prints.

This practical course is ideal for beginner students with a little drawing experience, for those interested in design and colour, or students who’d like to gain confidence and improve their use of colour in different mediums.
Summer School – 2 Days: Exploring Etching on Steel
Open to experienced etchers or complete beginners, this 2-day practical printmaking workshop will explore making and printing from steel plates. Steel has exciting properties that make it a great metal for experimentation. It’s particularly suited to deeply etched marks and tactile textures as well as printing in vibrant and intense colour.
