Feb Half Term – 2 Days: Experimental Printmaking

A two-day course where you can explore a variety of relief printing techniques.

What The Course is About:

The two days will provide opportunities for you to explore all aspects of relief printing including Linoleum cut, Collagraph, Mono-type, Mono-print, Mono-drawing, and hybrid combinations. You will develop ideas as you experiment with processes and techniques, images and textures. Students attending range from beginners to experienced printers and the sharing of skills and knowledge benefits all in this lively class. Through demonstrations and individual support for students in gaining understanding of media and processes, you will be encouraged to develop original and well executed printed outcomes.

Materials Required:

What to bring to the first session: Please bring a range of papers, card, textures such as string cottons, twine. , sandpaper etc. A notebook and basic drawing / sketching medium. Paper for printing and further items can be purchased from the school shop.

End of course:

What will I achieve? You will learn some techniques and experiment with a variety of materials in producing original prints.
