May Half Term – 2 Days: Art & Design for Young People 13-17 Years

An enjoyable and challenging course designed to build on existing skills to create a varied body of work useful for GCSE and A level course work or for a dynamic foundation portfolio.

What The Course is About:

An enjoyable and challenging two-day course designed to build on existing skills to create a varied body of work useful for GCSE and A level course work or for a dynamic foundation portfolio. Working with a broad range of materials including drawing, collage/3D, paint/ink and using a sketchbook as a starting point, students will explore ideas/creative solutions in response to a given theme. Materials included.

Materials Required:

Sketchbook (any size or A4/A5/A2),ink (water-soluble), ball of string/twine, variety of drawing papers (selection of papers can be bought from the art shop at the school to include A1 cartridge and newsprint paper, tracing Paper ; contactless payment), glue, selection of newspapers, selection of paint brushes, selection of drawing pencils, a white pencil, chalk stick (small), biro(s),charcoal( mixed sizes), putty eraser, pencil eraser and a video/camera/phone for recording and documenting purposes and money/cash for photocopies and (optional) any paints that you have Students can leave their work and materials in the studio overnight for the duration of the course.
