NEW Creative Photography: Contemporary Practice (All levels)
Our Creative Photography Course is ideal for anybody with an interest and a passion for photography. Whether you are experienced or a beginner, the course is designed to cover different practices in fine art photography and to expand your knowledge, technical skills and development as a visual artist behind the lens.
What The Course is About:
Our Creative Photography: Contemporary Practice will allow you to investigate photography as not just a tool in capturing an image but to engage in the idea that photography can be visually and intellectually exciting. Through practical assignments you will learn how to make the best use of your camera to not only capture a perfect image but to understand the impact an image can have on the viewer. The course will examine theory and practice and you will be encouraged to find your own personal work in the context of contemporary practice. Through using a range of camera settings you will be able to explore and create different effects. You will examine composition, colour, subject matter and the narrative of the image through using a range of techniques to interpret your creative intentions. You will learn about different styles of photography and be able to complete your own personal photography project from start to finish.
Materials Required:
You will need to bring your digital camera (please also bring the camera’s instruction booklet or we can access it online). You do not have to own the Photoshop software to participate in the course but it's worth seeing what can be achieved. A USB memory stick is also very useful.
