If you have a passion for photography and photographic techniques, this course will allow you to expand your skills using traditional printing techniques.

What The Course is About:

The course will give the opportunity to use the schools B&W darkroom facilities to learn the basics of printing black and white photographs from your very own negatives but also allow you to experiment in with photograms, photographic prints made by laying objects onto photographic paper and exposing it to light. Through practical demonstrations, you will be able to explore the many possibilities that a B&W darkroom has to offer. Most of the class time is devoted to working in the darkroom and building printing techniques.

Materials Required:

Ideally you will bring your own black and white negatives already processed and ready to print but alternatively you can bring a black and white image, which we can transfer to acetate to create a negative.
