NEW: Landscape Drawing & Painting (All Levels) 3D Campus
A 10 week workshop exploring landscape whilst improving your drawing and painting skills.
What The Course is About:
Exploring landscape, you will be encouraged to develop observational skills through sketchbook use, as you progress to complete finished works.
We will learn to appreciate the essential elements of landscapes. We will look at good examples to increase awareness of different approaches. Weather permitting, we will go outside to do direct sketching and to collect photo reference to use back in the studio. We will explore different compositional strategies and a range of media to develop, exciting very personal responses.
3D Campus: Bentley House, 4a Disraeli Road, SW15 2DS (Directly opposite Putney Library). N.B Classes in 3D Studio 1 and 3D Sculpture Studio are not yet accessible for wheelchair users (Staircase leading to first floor). Please speak to the Admin Team who will advise an alternative course at Oxford Road (lift) or ground floor 3D Campus.
Materials Required:
What to bring to the first session: Bring a sketchbook ( A2 if possible) and some basic drawing materials to the first session. You will be advised what to bring for future sessions.

End of course:
What will I achieve? You will have a grasp of the essential elements of landscape drawing and painting. You will have developed skills in direct sketching and using photographic reference to develop exciting, personal outcomes. You will have explored a range of media and the different effects possible.
