PSAD Ceramics & Pottery Technician Course

This course is hands-on learning for the major aspects for running a ceramics studio.

What The Course is About:

This course is hands-on learning for the major aspects for running a ceramics studio. This will include Health and Safety, Glaze Development, Firing Electric and Gas Kilns, Cleaning and Maintenance of Equipment, and Reclaim Management. In this course you will work side by side with technicians as you learn the skills needed to manage the technical aspects of the studio. Total course time is 86 hours which will be scheduled with the technician prior to the session so that you are able to experience all of the activities in the studio.

Previous Experience:

Must have an understanding of ceramic methods and be competent at hand building/sculpting, glaze application, and throwing.

Short interview is required.

End of course:

On completion of this training you will have developed competencies in a range of ceramic technician skills.
