After graduating in Graphic Design and Illustration Delyth Jones worked as an illustrator for books, magazines and product packaging. Her career later took a change of direction and she began working in ceramics, later moving to teaching pottery, including hand building techniques and throwing.
Her smoke fired ceramic sculptures are influenced by historic interpretations of animals inspired directly by her experience of life on the family farm in North Wales. Her illustrated glazed work encompasses farm animals, wild animals and the wider natural world.
Delyth has exhibited at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, Chelsea Craft Fair (Crafts council), The Geffrye museum, Welsh Artist of the Year exhibition and selected galleries in the UK.
Her work has featured in Crafts, Ceramics Review, BBC Homes & Antiques ‘Talent around Britain’ and the Harlech Television production ‘The visit’.
