Kaitlyn Watson
Kaitlyn Watson is a new tutor with PSAD commencing Autumn term of 2022. She is a London based artist originally from Charleston, South Carolina, USA where she obtained her BA in Fine Art and History of Art in 2009. Kaitlyn has lived in London since 2010 and obtained her MA from Sotheby’s Institue of art in Contemporary Art History in 2011.
Kaitlyn specialises in figurative drawing and sculpture with a focus on process and form. She is often inspired by her knowledge and exploration of artists’ methodologies from the past. She has obtained several prestigious awards following successful exhibitions in the USA and in Paros, Greece. She also held a residency with the Hellenic institute of Art in the Cycladic Islands of Greece commencing 2007 which led her to create a collection of figurative inspired stone sculpture. These were then auctioned and bought to local collectors of Parian marble.
Kaitlyn runs some of the Kid’s classes including ceramics and clubs on Saturday and some of the community classes offered through PSAD.
