Stephen Gregson (1955, London) is currently based and working in London. In 1976 he received The David Murray Landscape Scholarship from the Royal Academy. The following year he attained a BA with distinction from the Byam Shaw School of Art in 1977, and was chose to exhibit in the Annual New Contemporaries Exhibition which was held at The Royal Academy. After graduating he moved to New York and the work he produced while there became the basis for his first one man show in London. Since then he has continued to work and paint, having various one man and group shows around the world. Stephen’s work can be found in private collections, the British Medical Association and The DeBeers Collection. His work is primarily in oil paints and watercolours, and drawing is fundamental to his practice. Since 1989, Stephen has also taught in art schools and further education. Most recently his work could be viewed at the Huddle Exhibition as part of the Hammersmith and Fulham Arts Festival 2019/2020.
